James 5:13 – 17
13 Is anyone amoung you suffering? Then he must pray. Is anyone cheerful? He is to sing praises. 14 Is anyone amoung you sick? Then he must call for the elders of the church and they are to pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; 15 and the prayer offered in faith will restore the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up, and if he has committed sins, they will be forgiven him. 16 Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much. 17 Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the earth for three years and six months.
We at VOTV stand with our dear brother Jacob Prasch and his family in pray and supplications.
Up date on Jacob from David Lister just in.
As many of you know Jacob has been admitted to an ICU (intensive care unit) near his home in England.
On a scale of serious, 1 – 10, 10 being the most serious this is a 7.5.
He is currently on IV anitbotic drip as well as morphine for the pain. His legs are swollen and they are infected. The hospital suspects a DVT (Deep Vein Thrombosis). The infection has traveled up his legs towards his groin and it is very painful. He is sipping water and does have some fluid output, which is good as this means the kidneys have not shut down. It seems the infection has been stopped at the moment and is not travelling any higher up the legs.
Jacob is quite drowsy and somewhat out of it and does not want visitors or calls
He is worried about the Scotland conference and is sorry for everyone’s inconvenience and having to cancel it. So if you know anybody that is planning on going maybe contact them and let them know it is off. Also, the UK office is emailing everyone.
